Semi gantry crane is composed of bridge, crane running mechanism, trolley running mechanism and hoisting mechanism. It is a combination of overhead crane and gantry crane.
This type of crane can be adapted to both indoor and outdoor applications. It can also be installed below a pre-existing large overhead crane to increase your work efficiency without getting in the way of the overhead lifting process.

Another price-reducing factor is that semi-gantry cranes require fewer supporting columns to be erected compared to fully overhead cranes, as the rail of one side of the crane is floor mounted. However, you do need to ensure you have the space available for this floor mounted rail to be installed and this area needs to be kept clear while the crane is in use to ensure safe working practices. Anti-clash sensors can be fitted to the floor mounted column to shut to limit the crane’s movement if it detects an obstacle.
